Give Hope.
Give Local.

As 2025 comes to a close, families across Merced County are still facing the daily challenges of staying housed, fed, and healthy. United Way of Merced County connects thousands of residents every year to vital services like 211, free tax preparation, medical interpretation, and healthcare services but we can’t do it without you.

Your gift today strengthens the safety net that holds our community together.
Every dollar you give stays local, helping real families right here in Merced, Livingston, Los Banos, and beyond.

  • $5/month ($60/year): Helps one family receive healthcare navigation and housing support through our ECM Supportive Services program.

  • $10/month ($120/year): Connects a family to food, housing, and utility assistance through 211 — 24/7, in any language.

  • $25/month ($300/year): Strengthens a local nonprofit by providing essential fiscal and administrative services through our RISE Program, increasing their impact in underserved communities.

  • $50/month ($600/year): Ensures face-to-face medical interpretation for patients who rely on clear communication during critical health moments.

  • $100/month ($1,200/year): Covers the cost of free tax preparation for a low-income family, helping them keep more of what they earn.

  • $200/month ($2,400/year): Supports our Community Resiliency Fund, helping protect, rebuild, and stabilize vulnerable communities during disasters, crises, and emergencies.

When you give before December 31, you’re not just making a donation, you’re connecting families to the programs, services, and nonprofits that can truly change their everyday lives. Your gift maximizes support for those who need it most.

MAKE AN IMPACT

In Merced County, a family of four needs an average of $75,000 annually to meet living expenses, yet the average household income is only $56,000. To address this disparity, United Way of Merced County is dedicated to enhancing program accessibility and information for residents, focusing on health, financial stability, and digital equity. Our strategy includes leveraging our 211 and CalAIM services to strengthen the community infrastructure, providing essential administrative and financial support to local nonprofits to maximize their impact, and fostering collaborations with stakeholders across the county. By working together, we aim to create an environment where every Merced County resident has the opportunity to thrive. Your support is crucial in turning this vision into reality.
