Day of Action Saturday, June 20th Community Volunteer Day

United Way of Merced Country is beginning to conduct a comprehensive community asset and needs assessment to identify the most urgent health and human service needs right here in our community. That research is guiding our new community impact strategy, which focuses on solving our most pressing community problems by addressing the underlying causes. Our community impact strategy focuses on two specific areas: 

More than 48,000 people in Merced County live below the level of self-sufficiency. United Way is helping people build capabilities that lead to self-sufficiency by supporting English fluency classes, employment training, education, and youth and early childhood development services, as well as fostering community leadership to 

 

United Way and its partner agencies support people in crisis who need temporary assistance such as food, shelter, dependent care, or counseling when faced with loss of employment, serious illness, violence, substance abuse or grief.

 
 
 

 

 
 
 

Free Lunches
this Summer through Merced City Schools, Atwater WIC, and Livingston WIC.
Meals will be served from June 14th through August 7th,
Monday through Friday from 10:40 am to 11:30 am.”
