Sacred ROK

We provide an opportunity for disadvantaged Merced County teens to take a trip to Yosemite—whether a day trip or an overnight camping trip—with world renowned rock climber Ron Kauk, to experience the healing of nature.

They will learn to slow down and calm down, sitting by a river or taking a hike, and experience nature. The goal is to build a relationship with nature, through mentoring with a positive role model, and increase self-esteem, impulse control and anger control. Learning to respect nature and through that to respect themselves.
