Dos Palos Youth in Crisis & Outreach

The Dos Palos Youth Crisis & Outreach organization is a non-profit providing services in the Westside community of Dos Palos. Their food program receives partial funding from the United Way of Merced County. Although the name of the agency emphasizes outreach services to youth, they actually strive to serve people of all ages, regardless of race, creed or religion.

One of their primary goals is that no child in the Dos Palos area will have to go to bed hungry. It is an impoverished area with huge unemployment. A great number of youth, their families and seniors are at risk and in desperate need of assistance. The organization distributes boxes or bags of food on a weekly basis but in emergency cases will provide food anytime of the day or night.

In addition to boxes and bags of food, the organization provides a well balanced, healthy meal weekly to program recipients.
