indeed it's the only thing that ever has!"

Atwater Polie Activities League

The Atwater Police Activities League (PAL) is a nonprofit agency developed in response to a need in the community to provide a common forum for police, citizens and the youth of the Cities of Atwater and Merced. Although voluntarily administered by Atwater police officers, PAL is an organization that provides a variety of social, educational and recreational activities in order to foster and encourage youth in the traditions of sportsmanship, good will and friendship.

The program currently receiving funding from United Way of Merced County is the Castle Boxing Club. Helping youth succeed will be accomplished by reducing juvenile crime and gang involvement through teaching boxing and the values of discipline, mental focus and emotional management. Physical fitness and Peer to Peer training and mentoring will prepare youth to succeed in school, work and their community.
