Mountain Valley 211 is an information resource and referral program which maintains a comprehensive list of resources serving Merced and Mariposa County related to social, health, and educational needs, as well as community events and volunteer opportunities. It is completely free, confidential, 24/7/365, and available in over 150 different languages. We are available by phone by simply dialing 2-1-1 or by visiting our website. This program is the latest addition to United Way of Merced County and we thank Merced County Human Services Agency, Merced County Public Health Department, Mariposa County Human Services Agency, and Mariposa Safe Families for their continued support and collaboration.
2-1-1 is a nation-wide program offering information and referral to individuals all over the world seeking a convenient way to access information on resources in their community. We encourage residents to visit the site and access the resources they need, but also GET INVOLVED! There is much to do in Merced County and Mountain Valley 2-1-1 provides a communicative means to identify how YOU can GET INVOLVED by attending community events or volunteering throughout the county. In October of 2015, Merced and Mariposa County became the newest additions to the larger California 2-1-1 network.
